Thanx for waiting...got caught up in BLOG limbo.

Okay, better late than never. Just want to enter a post and make sure that I'm doing this correctly. Not sure what happened earlier, but my previous attempts got spit back like a dry MRE. If this works... I'll try to be a more regular contributor.

Chris!! Glad you could make it. Just thought you should know...my DAD brought up the Candiru fish at dinner last night (I choked on my scallop I was laughing so hard). Apparently my cousins won't get into Lake Michigan because someone told them the fish live there too. Thought you would appreciate that.

I still do not fully believe that a fish can swim up a stream of urine (salmon like) and end up in the bladder (think squatter).

Hey... I found a back link to get me back into the "blog"... I just can't say -- or type-- that without cringing. Anyway, I'm having trouble reaching this through the blogger home page... any suggestions?

Okay, I believe the last topic was Top 5 Children's books. So, without further adieu, my contribution:(in no particular order)

1) Santa's Evil Twin, by Dean Koontz. A riotous lyrical tale, done with tongue-in-cheek macabre. It actually first appeared as a poem written by the main character in Koontz's novel Mr. Murder.

2) Green Eggs and Ham, The Lorax, and/or The Sneeches by Seuss. Really anything by Seuss is classic and timeless... these are my fav's.

3) The Magic Treehouse series by Mary Pope Osborne. Imaginative, surprisingly well written little jaunts of imagination. They are also on cassette. Ryan and I camped out in our back yard recently and listened to one of these... I admit, I was hooked and enjoyed the ride.

4) Any of the board books by Sandra Boynton. They are simple but fun and the cartoons are great. I love reading them to Aeryn.

5) CandyCane, the Reluctant Cadiru Fish. (that was for Kevin's benefit)... I am having trouble coming up with a fifth right now.

Any suggestions for new topics?

Hey, it's good to be back in the loop.

Chris! Glad you could make it. I am blog challenged and have difficulty posting as well. As to the Candiru fish.... what do you think OR time would be for that foreign body ( literally ) removal?

A buddy of mine once told about an ex.lap. he did where they removed nearly 14 FEET of intestinal tapeworm... ALIVE. I can handle just about anything, but I think that and candiru stripping would put me over the edge.

I am hoping to get this blogging blog blogger resolved so that I can publish new posts... it seems that all I can do is get to this comment area. Em is going to send me a new invite and I'll start from scratch.

For fun: Kev, give us the top 5 things you like about your new digs, assuming that you are all settled in ( and NOT being in the 323rd anymore cannot be one of them. And being in NASCAR heaven only counts as one!!)
